Yuba State Park, Utah
Sand dunes and sandy beaches ring the Sevier Bridge Reservoir at this remote central Utah park, where boat-in campsites and warm, open water make for a different kind of desert getaway. Local ranchers and farmers built the dam here themselves in the early 1900s to protect their water rights, and their nickname for it — the "U.B. Dam" — became Yuba. Today the park spans nearly 16,000 acres across Juab and Sanpete counties, with fishing for walleye, wiper, and tiger muskie plus nearby OHV trails.
