Wasatch Mountain State Park, Utah
Utah's most developed state park unfolds across more than 20,000 acres of forested foothills above Midway, with room enough for four championship golf courses, mountain-bike and horseback trails, and the Pine Creek Campground. Winter turns the same ground over to Nordic skiing, snow tubing, and snowmobiling, while Soldier Hollow — host of the 2002 Olympic cross-country and biathlon events — anchors the park's south end. Watch for elk, moose, and deer along the way.
