Utahraptor State Park, Utah
Utah's newest state park protects one of North America's richest dinosaur bone beds, the Dalton Wells Quarry, where more than 5,500 fossilized bones from over ten species — including the park's namesake predator — have been pulled from the rock since excavations began decades ago. Beyond the fossils, 6,500 acres of red-rock desert northwest of Moab open up to hiking, mountain biking on the Klonzo trails, and off-roading.
