Red Fleet State Park, Utah
Three towering red Navajo sandstone outcrops resembling a fleet of ships give this park its name, rising above a reservoir north of Vernal. A short trail along the shore leads to a trackway of roughly 200-million-year-old dinosaur footprints preserved in slickrock. Beyond the tracks, visitors come for boating, fishing, camping, and paddling beneath the sandstone cliffs.
